Undereye wrinkles, dark circles, hollowness is something a lot of people deal with, especially as we age.
However, there is a remedy, platelet rich plasma or fibrin“PRP/PRF”
Those dark hollow circles and crepiness, are caused by the loss of collagen and elastin in the area. The PRP/PRF has regenerative and healing properties which initiates your body to produce more collagen and elastin. This then allows the undereye to thicken the skin and generate new healthier skin in the area. The stronger, healthier structure is what will reduce the appearance of dark circles.
PRP/PRF is a safer and more effective option than fillers, since it is composed of your own blood.
While filler temporarily alleviates the hollow and darkness, once dissolved it leaves the skin in the condition it previously as in. There is no regeneration or thickening of the skin.
Overall, this takes up to a month to work, and about 3 sessions to get the full effect. One may even see immediate results, but everyone’s outcomes varies.
Once achieved, annual sessions allow the effects to remain sufficient.
* Bruising, swelling, tenderness, redness/discoloration are to be expected and are typical responses.
What happens during a session?

Blood draw from patient.

Platelets separated out by being spun in centrifuge.

Area for injection is numbed prior to injection.

The plasma is then injected under each eye at 4 different points.

Redness, slight bruising, & swelling are expected. It does take a few days for the PRP/PRF to be absorbed.

Throughout the month you will see improvement.

Before you know it, it will be time for your next session where you will undergo the same process. Only this time, you know exactly what to expect!
